Today I’m carrying great news: Bajan Wed chose to publish my work, featuring a fabulous wedding in Monserrate Palace, one of Portugal’s most exquisite wedding venues. I’ve been following Bajan Wed for a long time. It’s an excellent source of inspiration—some of the world’s best destination weddings and fascinating international wedding destinations get feature there. In this context, I’m thrilled and honoured to have one of my real destination weddings in Portugal featured at Bajan Wed.
An out of the ordinary celebration at a remarkable venue: Monserrate Palace, in Sintra. A profusely ornamented 19th century Palace, with Gothic, Indian and Moorish influences, standing amid a botanical garden from which it takes inspiration to many of its decorative motifs. The utterly romantic setting to host a charming and sweet intimate celebration.
So much so, that the couple recalls that “it was love at first sight. We both took one look at the palace from the outside, then looked at each other and said this is it. We will hold our wedding in Monserrate Palace.”
At the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, subtle floral decorations coordinating the palace and garden hues added the right amount of finesse. Enough to create refinement and at the same time not overshadow the beauty of the surrounding.
